Choosing which outcomes belong on a language-center board

Language centers in Bangkok often track placement bands, speaking checklists, and homework completion. Putting all three on one director board creates noise. The clearer path is to pick the measures that change staffing decisions.

Ask which figure would move a Saturday slot from one cohort to another. For many conversation schools, that is mid-term speaking band movement—not total homework ticks. Attendance still matters, but it belongs beside mastery, not above it.

When we draft education outcome dashboards for private learning centers, we usually limit the Monday board to three measures. Extra detail lives on teacher track sheets. Directors then leave meetings with one agreed focus instead of a stack of competing charts.

Review the board after one term. If a measure never prompted an action, retire it. Boards earn their wall space by shaping hours, not by proving the center collected data.
