Outcome boards

Board types we draft for private centers

Before an engagement starts, directors often ask which views belong on the wall and which stay in a folder for conference week. This guide maps the usual set.

Director Monday board

One page for leadership: cohort bands by subject, term-over-term movement, and a short list of groups needing hours. Printed large enough for a staff-room pinboard.

Teacher track sheet

A quieter view for subject leads—same cohorts, more detail on assessment dates and who still sits below band after the mid-term check.

Parent conference page

A single sheet families can take home: progress in plain language, next focus, and space for teacher notes. Optional quiz lists stay separate.

What we avoid on first boards

We leave off vanity totals that hide stalled mid-bands, decorative charts that fail in black-and-white print, and metrics the center does not already collect.

If your team wants a historical cohort comparison later, we add it as a second engagement once the Monday board is in regular use.
